Privacy notice

Helvetra Carbon Intelligence (“Helvetra”, “we”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us at hello@helvetra.co.uk.

When you use the contact form we collect your name, company, work email address and the message you write. We do not ask for, and you should not include, any special-category data.

Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and to keep the site running. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies.

• To reply to your enquiry and, where relevant, prepare a proposal.
• To keep a record of correspondence with prospective and existing clients.
• To secure the website and diagnose technical problems.

We rely on legitimate interests (responding to a business enquiry you initiated and running our business) and, where we go on to work together, performance of a contract. Server logs are processed on the basis of legitimate interests in security.

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Resend — delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox by email.
• Our hosting provider — serves the website and stores server logs.

These providers act under contract and may process data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell personal data.

Enquiries we do not take forward are deleted within 12 months. Correspondence with clients is kept for the duration of the engagement and for six years afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased where there is no good reason for us to keep it;
• object to, or ask us to restrict, processing based on legitimate interests;
• receive your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these, email hello@helvetra.co.uk. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
